NOTES ON TOURIST ATTRACTIVIY. Did you know that Baška Voda is placed among 10 the most beautiful places in the world with its web camera? Additional two were added to existing three, so now you are only a click away from its wonderful Mediterranean ambience!
That this place really lives for tourism prove continuous initiatives on tourism, so next year nautical centre with 250 docks is going to be finished. Hotel Slavija, which is of historic significance for Baška Voda’s tourism, has already been renovated. It was awarded golden diploma for food and wine in 1936, and is again at the global level!
HIKE TO KNOW IT! On the area of Baška Voda Municipality there are around 100 marked hiking roads. Those along the sea are ideal for leisurely, romantic walks, cycling and Nordic walking, while those between the sea and Biokovo mountain offer great view of picturesque Mediterranean landscape – among other also on vast vineyards of Plenković vinery.
Among even 600 000 vine grapes there is Kaštelanski crljenak variety, very famous with winegrowers for sharing genetic profile with American Zinfandel. In addition, you can ride a bike on hiking roads, during the entire year, thanks to extremely favourable weather conditions, while the most beautiful seasons are fall and spring.
ACTIVITIES FOR DARING ONES. To true adrenaline enthusiasts a wide range of exciting activities is available. Conquer a small climbing site on Smokvina rock above Bast village. There are around 30 climbing routes of different difficulty levels. Dare to paraglide with landing place in Makarska, or explore Baška Voda’s underwater with the help of kind instructors of local diving centre, which gave many successful scuba divers
Many will decide to go on a karting adventure, or participate in BMX stunts (international competition is held there on July 7 and 8).
For those who prefer more relaxed vacation and for those with family and children, we greatly recommend a drive on a little train to picturesque place Topići, as well as super-exciting excursion on semi-submarine that offers a spectacular view of underwater ecosystem through great glass of underwater ship hull. Guests can also decide to take a tour on miraculous Segway personal transporter – a one person vehicle.
